EATING FACES ARE THE HAPPIEST FACES

Yesterday I was at Haldiram's - Noida (a very popular eating joint) with my family. As usual, there was full packed crowd and every one was busy either taking their orders or arranging their places to sit. Suddenly, I observed the faces there. Despite of packed crowd, no one was getting annoyed or irritated unlike what i observe in other crowds.
Wherever you go these days, and you see a queue, you will observe that people want to get their thing first and in case there is a delay, they will start shouting at each other, and sometimes it becomes a physical attempt too. A very simple example, the traffic signal. One second delay to move your car means, a line of horns getting blowed at you and the passing car will give you a frown.

But see, the crowd at any eating joint and observe the difference!!!

Poeple are happy to wait for their order. Even if the delievery of the order is late, and kids start getting annoyed, the parents will try to cheer them, and will make them learn to be happy while waiting for the order.
What a difference in attitude / behavoiur !! What could be the reason?
I have never agreed upon the research which proves that every individual have split personality, but this diiference force me to re-think!!

What ever...but the conclusion is eating mouths are the most happy faces in the crowd...

Everyone of us should pay our sincere gratitude to the eating joints ... I do...

You would like to wait for more, for a thing which is better than other possible alternatives.

you wont wait for a crappy sandwitch if you know its available at another joint at probably same price and taste.

When people do go out for a meal, it is not just the meal but the overall experience they look forward to. So, it is not just about the taste or price, it is about the feeling that you carry back home.

I would like to add that while my visit to TRADE FAIR-NOIDA, the most crowded stall was of bhel-puri, dahi-bhalle and others..

Priyanka ,

I agree to disagree with you on this .

While I’m happy you saw smiling faces at the NOIDA eating joint ,it is not true that people in queues at Eating joints would not feel irked by delays .Infact when the stomach growls –you can imagine the repercussions .

Imagine in popular hotels ,you have people standing behind the table and waiting for the other person to finish .that sight isn’t funny at all .

However happy to note that in Noida ,people in eating joints are happy .

after all...
the saying goes
some people eat to live and some live to eat....
but of course there is lot of split personality when it comes to eating
joints and our own behaviour...
having worked abroad for several years in different continents...i too have
enjoyed this behaviour shift...
well....all that ends well....eat well.....hihhihi
